Sarah Slattery

With more than 34 years’ experience as a quantity surveyor in Australia and the United Kingdom, Sarah has worked across all sectors of the property industry. In 2017, Sarah was appointed CEO of Slattery – becoming the first woman to lead a national quantity surveying firm in Australia. Sarah has specialist skills in costing complex, design-oriented projects, education, arts and culture, health and transport developments. She is a regular commentator on procurement, supply chains and market conditions, and sits on the ACIF’s Construction Forecasting Council which reviews and advises on the forecasts of demand for the construction industry. With energy, expertise and passion for the industry, Sarah is a trusted advisor to significant public and private sector clients. Sarah has been instrumental in launching Australia’s first Carbon Planning Service at Slattery – advising clients on the embodied carbon in their developments and how to achieve their Net Zero and sustainability targets. This service won the Property Council of Australia Innovation & Excellence Awards 2022 – Award for Innovation. A champion of gender equality, Sarah was a director of TEN Women for 7 years, a group founded to connect and empower women in the property industry. Sarah has been a Property Council of Australia mentor, Deputy Chair of the inaugural Women & Diversity Committee and a sponsor of the 500 Women in Property initiative. Under Sarah’s leadership, Slattery won the Property Council of Australia / RLB Innovation & Excellence Awards 2018 – Award for Diversity
