Simone Haslinger

I am a highly experienced leader in the Australian corporate sector with over 20 years of experience in financial services, equity capital markets and strategic governance. I currently hold a portfolio of Non-Executive Directorships, namely for National Storage REIT (ASX:NSR, an ASX200 listed entity and Australasia’s largest self-storage owner-operator with A$5.3bn of assets), DroneShield Limited (ASX:DRO, an ASX300 listed defence technology company, the only publicly listed counter-drone company globally), and German School Johannes Gutenberg (German International School, Sydney, a not-for-profit multi-national independent school). In addition, I serve as Chief Executive Officer of East Coast Capital Management, a boutique quantitative funds management group. My prior experience included senior leadership roles with the investment banking divisions of J.P. Morgan and Deutsche Bank, acting on strategic mandates for many of Australia’s largest listed corporates including raising equity capital of over A$75 billion. I also have a long track record of advocacy for women in financial services, having served in leadership positions in relation to the retention and development of women in investment banking, and am currently extending this passion into funds management with the Alternative Investment Management Association. I hold a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and Bachelor of Laws from the University of New South Wales, and am a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AACID) and CEW Connect.
