Sue Murray OAM

As an experienced health advocate, director and organisational leader I have demonstrated ability to deliver high quality, focused and collaborative approaches to improve the health and wellbeing of the community.
My advocacy focus has been on strengthening consumer knowledge and understanding of chronic health conditions particularly through education. This has been a consistent driver across my executive career which has spanned several key health areas including cancer control, cardio-vascular disease prevention and mental health and suicide prevention.
I have a strong reputation for building brands demonstrated by positioning the National Breast Cancer Foundation as one of the most highly recognised organisations in the community sector. This resulted in attracting income support from a large and diverse number of companies and individuals generating total revenue for breast cancer research of more than $100 million over a decade.
I am a graduate of the AICD and as a director I focus my attention on sectors to which I can most effectively contribute - health, education and community. This enables me to use both my industry knowledge and passion for community wellbeing to guide and direct those organisations on which I have been elected to serve as a director.
