Teifi Whatley

Teifi Whatley is Chief Strategy Officer at Australian Retirement Trust, one of Australia’s largest superannuation funds, responsible for developing and executing strategy and vision with particular oversight of the Fund’s strategic direction, product, corporate affairs, policy and CSR. Teifi joined Sunsuper in 2000, and in 2021, was appointed Acting CEO of Sunsuper in the lead up to the merger with QSuper. Teifi has an extensive career in the financial services industry, with over 30 years’ strategy, marketing, customer and product experience in banking, broking and superannuation in large institutions both in Australia and the UK. At Sunsuper, Teifi led Sunsuper’s brand and customer marketing, analytics and insights functions, as well as held responsibility for the design and delivery of industry-leading product and service experiences for members, employers and advisers through digital and technological capability. Teifi holds a Bachelor of Business and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.Teifi has completed the INSEAD Advanced Management Program, and is a Director of SuperFriend, a Mental Health Initiative.
