Teresa Engelhard
After starting my career at McKinsey&Company, my love for technology and innovation led me to early-stage venture capital in Silicon Valley. As a venture capitalist in the US, I focused on deep-tech software and photonics investments, served as a C-level executive at multiple companies including as the VP of Software Solutions at one of my investments which achieved a $5B US IPO. After moving to Melbourne in 2007, I returned to technology Venture Capital to eventually become a Managing Partner at Jolimont Capital, and an ASX listed board director. As Founder and CEO of StickyTek, a consumer-focused edtech startup, I'm motivated by purpose to do what's best for kids. I've contributed to technology innovation and digital strategy on more than 15 boards as an executive and non-executive director, including 3 ASX-listed companies: RedBubble, Origin Energy and Wisetech Global. As a listed company director, I have served as Audit Chair, People Committee Chair and on Health & Safety Committees. My public policy work has included serving as a Director at StartupAUS (the precursor to the Tech Council of Australia), as a Director at LaunchVic (Victoria's Startup Agency) and as a member of the Australian Governments' Entrepreneurs Program Committee. The majority of my volunteer work has been focused on serving children: including at RedKite Cancer Charity, and at pre-schools and primary schools.
