Tracey Winters

Tracey Winters is a distinguished professional with over 40 years' experience in the oil and gas industry, specializing in corporate strategy and strategic issues management, government and regulatory affairs, media and communications, and environmental management. Since 2023, Ms Winters has been serving as the Chief Strategy Officer at Santos Ltd, a leading Australian energy company. Ms Winters reports to the CEO and has also served as Chief of Staff, Head of Government and Public Affairs, and Strategic Adviser, playing a pivotal role in managing material events for the company. Before joining Santos, Ms Winters held key positions in both the public and private sectors. At BG Group, she served as Vice President of Surat Asset Management, Land and Environment during the development of the Queensland coal seam gas and LNG industries from 2011 to 2016. She was Principal Policy Advisor and Chief of Staff to the Hon Martin Ferguson MP from 2003 to 2010, serving in both Opposition and Government. Ms Winters consulted to Sasol Chevron in the early 2000s and Woodside Energy in the late 1990s, playing a pivotal role in various LNG and Gas to Liquids developments, and related government policy. In addition to her corporate career, Ms Winters is a Non-Executive Director of Queensland Rail and Councillor of the South Australian Chamber of Mines and Energy.
