Wendy McMillan
Wendy is currently the Senior Regional Vice President South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand and joined Wabtec Corporation in June 2021. Wendy has over 30 years’ experience in executive management positions within the transport, infrastructure, construction, resources, agribusiness, and government sectors. Wendy has built her career helping companies drive growth. She joins Wabtec from Bombardier Transportation, where she served as President for Australia / New Zealand, SEA, overseeing the full portfolio of products and services (including metro, light rail, high speed, trams, locomotives, and signaling), as well as operations in the region. Prior to this, she was the Chief Executive Officer of the Rolling Stock Development Division in the Victorian Government with responsibility for trains and trams, including developing strategic business cases and delivery of capital projects, asset management and industry development. Wendy has held various senior executive roles in companies including Everything Infrastructure Group (EIG), the John Holland Group, Australia Trade Coast and the Port of Brisbane Corporation. Wendy currently sits on the Australian Industry Group (AIG)’s Victorian Board. She is a past non-executive Director of Queensland Rail, where she chaired the major projects and procurement committee, was a member of the audit and risk and people and safety committees; and past deputy chair of the St Aidan’s School Council. She Chaired the Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards Committee for over 5 years. Wendy was a member of the advisory Board for Australia’s Nobel Laureates Vol III, previously Chaired the Queensland Industrial Committee, Property Council of Australia and a member of the Infrastructure Association of Queensland’s Board.Wendy holds a Bachelor of Business and Marketing, and Bachelor of Arts (Commerce/ Government). Wendy resides in Melbourne, Victoria with her husband and two boys – and a black Labrador Matty, who runs the household. Wendy loves the outdoors, staying active/training, skiing, the beach, gardening, walking the top dog and being with family.
