In recognition of our shared goal of advancing women’s opportunities for leadership in Australia, CEW is partnering with AGSM@UNSW Business School to offer two scholarships to the General Manager Program in 2018.

About the program

The AGSM General Manager Program is a unique experience that will challenge you to become a stronger leader, extend beyond your current expertise, and build strategic leadership capabilities to drive organisational performance. Working with a group of high-calibre general managers from across a diverse range of industries, you will develop the mindsets, capabilities and frameworks to: lead, think and act strategically, create and sustain a performance culture, communicate with presence and impact, lead through change, navigate and leverage power dynamics, understand finance and risk, and maintain mental wellbeing. Program dates

22 – 27 July 2018

Inclusions and obligations


The scholarships include course fees, return economy class flights, accommodation, and most meals. Applicants must commit to attending the course on the dates specified. The successful applicants must provide a report about their scholarship experience, and may also be required to speak at CEW events. CEW gratefully acknowledge the support of AGSM in directly sharing the tuition costs of the program.

Who should apply?

We are looking for women working in executive roles who aspire to become highly effective executive leaders. To be eligible to apply, you must meet the minimum selection criteria:

  • Mid-level to senior executive (i.e. between 3 to 5 levels down from CEO), or senior to mid-level executive from a Not-For-Profit organisation (i.e. Global or Regional lead, CEO, or no more than 3 levels down from CEO)
  • 5 or more years experience managing teams of 5 or more people, including managers
  • 2 or more years general management experience (i.e. business unit, line or functional management incorporating key responsibilities such as P&L management, strategic planning and people leadership)
  • Australian citizen or resident
