In recognition of our shared goal of advancing women’s opportunities for leadership in Australia, CEW is partnering with [email protected] Business School to offer two scholarships to the Women in Leadership Program in 2017. One scholarship is for a woman working in the public or private sector, and the other is for a woman in the Not For Profit sector.
About the program
The Women in Leadership Program attracts a dynamic group of business women from a variety of industries and sectors including private, not-for-profit and government. The four-month transformational program focuses on growing your leadership skills to help you achieve positive outcomes for yourself and your organisation. It provides a blend of personal leadership development and intellectual engagement combined with the latest thinking and discussion. For more information about the program, please visit AGSM.
The program consists of three modules of two days each, following by one-on-one coaching.
Module 1: 4-5 May
Module 2: 6-7 June
Module 3: 20-21 July
Inclusions and obligations
The scholarships include course fees, return economy class flights, accommodation, and most meals. Applicants must commit to attending the course on the dates specified, as well as attend the one-on-one coaching. The successful applicants must provide a report about their scholarship experience, and may also be required to speak at CEW events. CEW gratefully acknowledge the support of AGSM in directly sharing the tuition costs of the program.
Who should apply?
We are looking for women working in executive roles in either the public/private sector or the Not For Profit sector, and who aspire to become highly effective executive leaders. To be eligible to apply, you must meet the minimum selection criteria:
- Senior to mid-level executive from a For-Profit organisation (i.e. between 3 to 5 levels down from CEO), or senior to mid-level executive from a Not-For-Profit organisation (i.e. above the Australian head or equivalent level in the organisation e.g. Global or Regional lead; CEO, or no more than 3 levels down from CEO)
- 5 or more years experience managing teams of 5 or more people, including managers
- 2 or more years general management experience (i.e. business unit, line or functional management incorporating key responsibilities such as P&L management, strategic planning and personnel performance management)
- Australian citizen or resident
