Two scholarships for women looking to grow their governance expertise

The CEW and GIA Scholarship will be open to two mid to senior level women working in any sector or industry who meet specific criteria and are interested in undertaking either of the following two courses offered by the GIA:

Applications will be open to candidates nationally and two scholarships will be awarded annually.

Inclusions and obligations

  • Mid-senior leader in any sector
  • 5 or more years’ experience managing teams of 5 or more people
  • A commitment to corporate governance
  • Australian or New Zealand citizens, Permanent residents of Australia, holders of a permanent Australian humanitarian visa
  • Has qualified for a bachelor or higher degree from an Australian University or for an equivalent qualification from an approved Australian higher education provider (as defined by Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA)) or recognised overseas university or higher education provider and
  • Provides appropriate evidence of general and professional qualifications or vocational experience

Who should apply?

  • Mid- to senior executive (i.e., CEO, or no more than 3 levels down from CEO)
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • 5 years or more professional business experience
  • Australian citizen or resident
  • Mid-senior leaders in any sector
  • 5 or more years’ experience managing teams of 5 or more people
  • A commitment to corporate governance
  • Australian or New Zealand citizens, Permanent residents of Australia, holders of a permanent Australian humanitarian visa
