Michele Bullock
Michele Bullock was appointed to as Assistant Governor (Financial Systems) at the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) in 2016. In this role she is responsible for the RBA's work on financial stability, including production of the twice-yearly Financial Stability Review, as well as the RBA's oversight of the payments system.
She is a member of the RBA's senior policy committee, and is Deputy Chair of the Payments System Board and executive sponsor of the RBA's employee resource group for accessibility. Michele is also a member of the Council of Financial Regulators and is Chair of Note Printing Australia.
Prior to her current position, Michele held a variety of senior management positions at the RBA which she joined whilst in her final year of study at University of New England. Most recently she held the position of Assistant Governor (Business Services). She was also Assistant Governor (Currency), Adviser for the Currency Group and before that was Head of Payments Policy Department.
Michele holds a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) from University of New England and a Master of Science , Economics and Political Science, from the London School of Economics.
