About this Scholarship

CEW has partnered with the Australian Retailers Association (ARA) to offer one woman working in retail an incredible opportunity to complete The Women’s Leadership Forum course at the Harvard Business School in Boston, USA.*

Who should apply?

  • Applicants must work in the retail sector and their organisation must be an ARA member.
  • Mid to senior executive (CEO, or no more than three levels down from CEO).
  • Five or more years general management experience (i.e., business unit, line or functional management incorporating key responsibilities such as P&L management, strategic planning, and people leadership).
  • Endorsement should come from the C-Suite, direct report of the CEO or Board.
  • Australian citizen or permanent resident.

Inclusions and Obligations

  • This scholarship has a total value of $25,000 AUD and includes tuition and travel. The cost of the Women’s Leadership Forum course at Harvard Business School in academic year 2024 is $13,500 USD. 
  • Accommodation will not be included. 
  • The successful candidate must undertake The Women’s Leadership Forum course at Harvard Business School.
  • The successful candidate must commit to attend the whole course.
  • The successful candidate is required to write a report about her scholarship experience and may be asked to speak at CEW events.
  • On completion of the course, the successful candidate will become a member of the CEW alumni community, CEW Connect Women.
  • The successful candidate must complete the course within 12 months of award.
* Please note that final admission to Harvard is at the discretion of the Institution. In the unlikely event that the winner is not admitted to their course, CEW will work with them and Harvard to identify an appropriate alternative.
