Anita Jacoby is an Associate Member of the Australian Communications & Media Authority (ACMA) and a non-executive director. An entrepreneur, Anita’s media career spans more than thirty-five years as a media executive and award-winning producer. Previously she was Managing Director of ITV Australia, responsible for the local subsidiaries of FTSE 100 British media company, ITV plc, one of the world’s largest communications businesses. Prior to ITV, Anita managed one of Australia’s most successful independent television production companies, Zapruder’s other films alongside Andrew Denton.
Anita is currently a Director of Women in Media, Documentary Australia Foundation, The Funding Network, Chair of the Duke of Edinburgh International Award’s Brand Marketing/Communications Advisory Committee and an Ambassador for 1 Million Women and the Duke of Edinburgh International Award. Anita was previously a Director of headspace National Youth Mental Health Foundation, Arts Law Centre Australia, Australian Film Institute/Australian Academy of Cinema and TV Arts and the NSW Alzheimer’s Advisory Board.
Anita completed a Graduate Diploma in Media at the Australian Film, TV and Radio School. She’s a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has undertaken the AICD’s Chair’s Mentoring Program. Her work has received widespread recognition including five Australian Film Institute awards, an AACTA, Logie and an Order of Australia Media Award.
In 2019, Anita was awarded an AM for significant service to broadcasting, print media and community mental health.
