New scholarship to boost governance qualifications of women leaders

Chief Executive Women (CEW) is launching a new scholarship for women leaders in any industry, designed to support the governance skills of emerging leaders and encourage further career progression.

The Governance Institute of Australia CEW Scholarship is open to mid-senior executives in any industry who have at least five years’ experience managing teams of five or more people.

It will support two recipients each year to study either the Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance or the Effective Director Course at the Governance Institute of Australia (GIA).

CEW Scholarships Chair Deidre Willmott said:

CEW is proud to partner with Governance Institute Australia to offer two scholarships to emerging women leaders in the listed, unlisted or NFP sectors. These scholarships will provide the winners an outstanding opportunity to complete accredited post-graduate courses which will equip them to move to the next level in their leadership journeys. The winners will also become part of the CEW Connect community providing ongoing opportunities to connect with CEW Members.

Applications close October 17.
