CEW, in partnership with Cranlana Centre for Ethical Leadership, is offering a senior woman manager of Aboriginal and/Torres Strait Islander heritage the opportunity to join the Vincent Fairfax Fellowship.

About the Fellowship

Each year this Fellowship gives a select group of senior executives the opportunity to discuss, examine, critique and reflect on the ethical challenges they encounter in their work – and offers expert assistance with putting practical ethical theory of change into action within their organisations.

Across a 12 month program of residential modules and individual coaching, participants explore and untangle the moral challenges that arise in their high-level leadership positions. Assisted by expert senior consultants, each participant chooses and develops a change project to be implemented within their own organisation, as a concrete way to drive ethical improvement.

The close-knit, collegial and confidential environment effectively cultivates an ethical brains trust – a group that can be drawn on to boost personal clarity and understanding around ethics-driven decision-making. For more information, visit Cranlana Centre for Ethical Leadership.

Induction: 19 June 2020
Module 1: 27 – 29 October 2020
Module 2: 16-18 March 2021
Module 3: 22-24 June 2021

Inclusions and obligations

The scholarships includes tuition, economy class flights, accommodation, and most meals. Applicants must commit to attending the course on the dates specified. Upon return, the successful applicants must provide a report about their scholarship experience, and may also be required to speak at CEW events.

Who should apply?

This course is designed specifically for business leaders with a desire to lead and influence their workplace culture. The fellowship is represented by:

  • Senior leaders from ASX100 companies
  • Leadership teams from not-for-profit
  • Senior leaders from government organisations
  • Human resources leaders
  • Workplace culture specialists

To be eligible to apply, you must meet the minimum selection criteria:

  • Mid-level to senior managers (i.e. CEO, or no more than 3 levels down from CEO)
  • 5 or more years experience managing teams of 5 or more people, including managers
  • 2 or more years general management experience (i.e. business unit, line or functional management incorporating key responsibilities such as P&L management, strategic planning and people leadership)
  • Australian citizen or resident
  • Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander

Women who work in start-ups or entrepreneurial roles are encouraged to apply.
